Guelph Storm rookie Jaakko Wycisk is back on track, scoring twice and assisting on four goals in a 5-1 Family Day win over the Erie Otters. After a dry spell, Wycisk has found his scoring touch, with six goals in his last six games. The latest came against the Otters, in front of a season-high crowd of 4,924. Quinn Beauchesne also contributed, assisting on four of the Storm's goals. The team's success is a result of their hard work and focus, as they trailed 1-0 after a sloppy first period but pulled away with two goals from Wycisk, singles from Leo Serlin and Carter Stevens, and a goal from Simon Belohorsky in the third period. The win moves Guelph up to third place in the Western Conference, three points ahead of Saginaw. Beauchesne's four points were a career high, and the team's performance was a great confidence booster. The Storm's next games are in Sarnia, Sault Ste. Marie, and Saginaw, with their next home game on February 25th against the Kitchener Rangers.
